About Me

Hi, I’m Sally — writer, grammar nerd, history buff, and cat mom to three mischievous little editors (Persephone, Emmy, and Stormy). I’m the voice behind Sally the Scribe, where I turn everyday writing into something worth sipping sweet tea over — smooth, rich, and just a little bit cheeky.

Why I Write

Words have always been my favorite kind of magic. Whether I’m unraveling a tangled sentence, diving deep into a forgotten piece of history, or making someone laugh over the Oxford comma debate, writing is how I connect — with ideas, with people, and with the past.

I believe good writing doesn’t have to be stiff or stuffy. It should inform and entertain. That’s what I aim for every time I pick up a pen (or more realistically, start smashing my keyboard at 2 a.m. with a cat sitting on it).

My Favorite Projects

  • 📝 Blogging about grammar, punctuation, and why English is wonderfully weird
  • 🏛️ Writing about history — the overlooked, the misunderstood, the just-plain-fascinating
  • 📚 Reviewing books that spark imagination and conversation (especially if they involve dragons or time travel)
  • 💼 Helping businesses say what they mean with clarity, charm, and a dash of personality

Fun Facts (a.k.a. Totally Relevant Details)

  • 🐾 Cat mom to Persephone, Emmy, and Stormy — the real rulers of my desk
  • 🧋 Sweet tea over coffee every single time
  • 🤓 Nerdy about grammar and historical rabbit holes
  • 📖 Currently obsessed with romantasy and alternate history novels
